About OpenAIRE
OpenAIRE is a pan-European research information system, which provides services to find, store, link, and analyze research output from all disciplines. It aims at promoting and implementing the directives of the European Commission (EC) and the European Research Council on the promotion and funding of science and research. OpenAIRE supports the Open Access Mandate and the Open Research Data Pilot. By initialising the OpenAIRE portal in 2010, it became possible for the first time to document EU-funded projects and their academic output in their entirety and present them to the public. Another important step was the establishment of the European repository, ZENODO, in cooperation with the European Council for Nuclear Research, CERN. This repository is available to academics as an all-round repository.
